True Hope line of Bratz and Moxie dolls by MGA

MGA saw our request for a bald fashion doll and step right up to the plate. The True Hope line of Bratz and Moxie dolls will have three bald dolls from each line that will include four girls and two boys. They will each come with a second outfit and a bracelet for the child to wear. The bracelets represent beads of hope that are give to children at City of Hope hospital. A portion of each sale will go to a charity, depending on the country, to help children. In America funds will go to City of Hope Children's Hospital.

 

USA - True Hope dolls will be hitting the shelves at ToysRUs in June!

Canada - True Hope Bratz will be arriving at ToysRUs in July!

United Kingdom - True Hope dolls will be arriving at ToysRUs in July!

 

They are now accepting pre-orders at toysrus.com for America. Search for "True Hope" in the toyrsrus.com search bar.

 

Update 5/15/12 - Target.com will be selling the True Hope line starting in July!!

Update 6/11/12 - Walmart.com will be selling the True Hope line starting in mid-late June!

Update 9/28/12 - True Hope dolls are for sale in USA, Canada and the UK in Toys r Us stores and on their website. 

Update 12/7/12 - True Hope dolls will start being sold at Toys R Us stores in Australia around mid. December

Bald "friend of Barbie" by Mattel

 

Her name will be Ella.

She is packaged with wigs, head scarf and other accessories. She is packaged wearing one of the wigs but under the wig she is bald. Mattel says she will not be sold in stores. But she is being made! Mattel plans to make a one time production of 10,000 bald "friend of Barbie" dolls. They will be donated and distributed through Children's Hospitals, The National Alopecia Areata Foundation and CureSearch. She is expected to be ready for distribution in 2013.
